CitySERVE

CitySERVE is the opportunity for freshmen to volunteer during New Student Orientation. This one-day project brings students and faculty together as they participate in various volunteer projects throughout the Wyoming Valley.  Students partner with several places in the community such as St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, Wilkes-Barre Senior Center, United Cerebral Palsy, and Big-Brothers Big-Sisters.  Students also take part in construction with Habitat for Humanity

In 1999, King's College established CitySERVE in honor of Rev. Thomas F. O'Hara, the new president. CitySERVE introduces new students to their surroundings and gives them the opportunity to relate with other students through hard work and dedication.

Through participating in the program, new students recognize the commitment of community service.
