Campuses That Care  Student Speaker Series Dinner for 12 Volunteer Fair
Campuses That Care Week
Monday, March 29- Sunday, April 4
Students gather together to serve the community in a joint effort. Activities include preparing food for the less fortunate, tutoring children, and visiting the elderly.

Goals:
  • To provide local agencies with needed volunteers.
  • To provide local service opportunities for King's and Wilkes students.
  • To join students from both campuses in a positive, non-competitive relationship.
  • To jointly serve the community which King's and Wilkes share.
 Hosting V.I.S.I.O.N.

King's College host the rotating men's shelter of Wyoming Valley.  Hosting the shelter on campus involves a lot of work but is the most rewarding part of the week.  Students, faculty, and staff are brought together to prepare meals and share conversations with the men.  The King's community welcomes these men to take part in the evening events that the college holds and the men definitely take advantage of these opportunities.
Events

Besides hosting the Men's Shelter here at King's, the campus also creates other events, such as volunteering opportunities with the children, elderly, disabled, and homeless.  Activities include an arts and crafts projects, barbecues with people who have Cerebral Palsy, tutoring and reading programs for children, clean ups, and helping the local soup kitchen.
