Origin of Katana

When owners, Ei-san, Teresa, and Suzuki, first opened Katana's doors in June of 1992, they had just four hibachi tables, one sushi bar, and seven tables in the dining room. In the begining the idea of having a chef theatrically cook a meal in front of them was an exhilarating novelty. Eating sushi, tofu, seaweed and other Japanese foods seemed exotic and exciting. Since then, we have built up a loyal clientele, have expanded twice, and have received many awards as the one of the areas favorite ethnic restaurants. We would like to thank all of our wonderful, loyal customers, our dedicated staff, and everyone who has supported us in our continued success over the years.
